OVERVIEW ON SOCIO-ECONOMIC SITUATION

IN QUANG TRI PROVINCE IN 2023

The socio-economic situation in 2023 was performed in the
context of being faced many difficulties and challenges by the world

economy, most economies in the world had a lower growth than
expected due to declined aggregate demand; inflation cooled down but
remained high; monetary policy was tight, the world public debt
reached a record level. In addition, the complicated developments of the
geopolitical situation; policies adjusted to stabilize the macro economy

and control inflation; natural disasters, climate change... were
increasing, that negatively affected the production and business
activities nationwide and in Quang Tri province as well.

In Quang Tri province, in the context of being affected by many
unfavorable external factors and the prolonged internal limitations, the
economy revealed more clearly towards the difficulties, however, with
the determination to complete the socio-economic development goals in
2023 and in the period 2021-2025; grasping thoroughly the

Government's motto of action "Unity, discipline, flexibility, creativity,
timeliness and efficiency", the Provincial People's Committee had
resolutely directed the Departments, branches and localities to
synchronously and effectively implement the goals, tasks and solutions
set out in the Action Program of the Provincial People's Committee to
implement Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 6, 2023 of the
Government; Conclusion No. 372-KL/TU dated December 6, 2022 of

the Provincial Party Committee and Resolution No. 80/2022/NQ-
HDND dated December 9, 2022 of the Provincial People's Council on
the socio-economic development plan for 2023. In general, the socio-
economic situation of the province in 2023 achieved positive results, the
GRDP growth was good, agricultural production had a good harvest,
industrial production continued to maintain a good growth rate, trade
