the upper secondary schools or professional secondary schools; from 2.5 to
4 years for those who graduate professional secondary school with the
same major; from 1 to 2 years for the graduates of the colleges of the same
major.
Public school refers to schools which are established by the State
that invests in material facilities and ensures fund for their current
expenditure.
Non-public school includes private and independent schools.
Independent schools are established and invested by residential community
for material facilities and operation budget. Private schools are established
and invested by social organizations, social-occupational organizations,
economic organizations or individuals for material facilities and operation
budget. Private schools invested by domestic or foreign investors and their
operation conditions are ensured.
Vocational education means a level of national education system
which provides workers with elementary-level, intermediate-level, college-
level vocational training and other vocational training programs in order to
meet the demand of human resources in production, businesses and
services, including: formal training and continuing training.
Vocational education establishments include vocational education
centers, technical schools and colleges.
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY
Science and technology organization is an institution with its main
functions of scientific research, application research and technological
development, science and technology service which is founded and
registered to operate in accordance with the law.
Science and technology organization is stipulated in those forms
as follows:
