IN 2023
In the school year 2023-2024, there were 164 kindergartens in
the province (a reduction of 2 schools in the school year 2022-2023),
including 147 public schools and 17 non-public schools. There were
221 general schools (down 1 school in the school year 2022-2023),
including: 66 primary schools; 42 lower secondary schools; 24 upper
secondary schools; 81 primary and lower secondary schools; 6 lower
secondary and upper secondary schools; 2 primary, lower secondary
and upper secondary schools.
In the school year 2023-2024, the number of kindergarten
teachers was 3,225 people, a year-on-year increase of 1.90%. There
were 7,799 classroom teachers in general education, rose by 1.25%
against the previous year, including: 3,685 primary school teachers,
2,600 lower secondary school teachers, and 1,514 upper secondary
school teachers; 93.06% of teachers were qualified as standard teachers.
In the school year 2023-2024, the number of pupils of general
school in the province was 136,927 pupils, a year-on-year increase of
1.52%, including: 64,944 primary school pupils, a decrease of 1.35%;
46,817 lower secondary school pupils, up 5.73%, and 25,166 upper
secondary school pupils, an increase of 1.59%. The general enrollment
rate was 96.49%; the net enrollment rate reached 93.66%.
In 2023, there were 13 science and technology organizations in
the province. Total research and development expenditures was 30,459
million VND, a year-on-year decrease of 0.38%.
