(GRDP) in 2021 was estimated to increase by 6.5% over the previous
year, higher than the growth rate of 3.65% in 2020 but lower than the
growth rate of the previous three years.
In the overall growth rate, the agriculture, forestry and fishery
sector increased by 3.02%, contributing 0.65 percentage points; the
industry and construction sector expanded 14.75%, contributing 3.70
percentage points; the service sector spread 3.66%, contributing 1.79
percentage points; the taxes less subsidies on products rose 8.17%,
contributing 0.36 percentage points.
The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.02%,
higher than the increase of 1.76% in 2020, but also lower than the growth
rate of the previous three years. In 2021, the winter-spring paddy had a
bumper crop, reaching the highest yield ever; livestock production grew
steadily due to the rapid recovery of the pig population and the healthy
development of poultry population; the forestry and fishery activities only
remained at a stable level.
The industry and construction sector expanded 14.75%, the highest
growth rate in the past ten years. In 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic in the
province was basically under control, so focal-to-the-point social distancing
measures were taken to limite its impact on the supply chain of production
and consumption of industrial activities in the province; the realized
investment capital in the province achieved positive results, especially the
investment capital in renewable energy projects; this year, many wind
power and solar power projects completed and put into operation, which
positively impacted the growth of the construction, the electricity power
generation and distribution activities..., accordingly this sector achieved the
steady increase.
The service sector spread 3.66%, higher than the increase of 2.26%
in 2020 but still the low growth rate in the past ten years. This year, the
Covid-19 pandemic resurged since the end of August in the province; due
to the implementation of and the focal-to-the-point social distancing
measures, some non-essential activities were affected but not much.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic had complicated developments
nationwide, so accommodation, travel, and passenger transport activities
were severely affected.
