NATIONAL ACCOUNTS, STATE BUDGET
AND INSURANCE IN 2023
1. Economic growth
The Gross Regional Domestic Products (GRDP) in 2023 was
estimated to increase by 6.67% compared the previous year (it increased
by 7.15% in 2022). Of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector
rose by 5.42%, contributing 1.07 percentage points to the overall
growth; the industry - construction sector expanded by 9.41%,
contributing 2.67 percentage points; the service sector spread by 5.89%,
contributing 2.85 percentage points; the taxes less subsidies on products
grew by 4.08%, contributing 0.17 percentage points.
The size of the economy in 2023 was estimated at 48,657.7
billion VND; of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector
accounted for 18.24%; the industry and construction sector made up
35.16%; the service sector represented for 42.60%; the taxes less
subsidies on products comprised 4.00%. The GRDP per capita was
estimated at 74.4 million VND, a year-on-year increase of 8.28%.
2. State budget revenue and expenditure, and insurance
The total state budget revenue in 2023 was estimated to reach
20,594.2 billion VND, a year-on-year increase of 5.90%; of which: the
domestic revenue achieved 2,788.2 billion VND, down 31.24%.
The province’s total state budget expenditure in 2023 reached
17,973 billion VND, a year-on-year decrease of 0.81%; of which: the
development investment expenditure reached 3,763.6 billion VND,
accounting for 20.94% of the total expenditure; the recurrent
expenditure attained 6,262.6 billion VND, accounting for 34.84%.
In 2023, there were 79,259 persons participating in social
insurance, of which, there were 633,376 persons engaging in health
insurance and 49,817 persons joining in unemployment insurance.
Compared to that in 2022, the total insurance revenue reached 1,769
billion VND, a growth of 8.6%; the total insurance expenditure attained
2,562 billion VND, an expansion of 11.2%.
