AND INSURANCE IN 2021

1. Economic growth

The gross regional domestic products (GRDP) in 2021 (at 2010
constant prices) was estimated at 21,170 billion VND, an increase of 6.50%
over the previous year, higher than the growth rate of 3.65% in 2020 but
lower than the growth rate of the previous three years. In the context of
devastating consequences of floods in 2020, negative impact of resurgence
of the Covid-19 pandemic on socio-economic sectors and activities, etc., the
province’s economic growth rate of 6.50% was a great victory of all level
authorities and branches, the business community and the people in
realizing the dual goals of “both pandemic prevention and economic
development”. In the overall growth rate, the agriculture, forestry and
fishery sector increased by 3.02%, contributing 0.65 percentage points to
the overall growth; the industry and construction sector expanded by
14.75%, contributing 3.70 percentage points; the service sector spread by
3.66%, contributing 1.79 percentage points; the taxes less subsidies on
products rose by 8.17%, contributing 0.36 percentage points.
The size of the province’s economy reached 36,808.5 billion VND; of
which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounted for 21.42%; the
industry and construction sector represented 27.54%; the service sector
comprised 46.59%; GRDP per capita in 2021 was estimated at 56.8 million
VND, an increase of 6.62% compared to that in 2020.

2. State budget revenue, expenditure and insurance
The total state budget revenue in 2021 preliminarily reached 8,468
billion VND, a rise of 46.44% over the previous year; of which: the domestic
revenues achieved 4,086.9 billion VND, an expansion of 25.61%.
The total state budget expenditure in 2021 preliminarily reached
16,102.5 billion VND, a decrease of 3.33% over the previous year; of which:
the development investment expenditures reached 2,767 billion VND,
accounting for 17.18% of the total state budget expenditure; the recurrent
expenditures achieved 5,872.5 billion VND, accounting for 36.47%.

In 2021, the number of persons participating in insurance increased
compared to the figure in 2020, specifically: the number of persons
participating in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment
insurance increased by 9.34%, 2.50%, and 5.26%, respectively.
