1. Health care
As of 31 December 2023, the number of health care
establishments under direct management of local authority was 156
establishments with the total number of patient beds was 2.250 beds.
The number of medical staffs directly involved in medical examination
and treatment was 3.350 persons, of which there were 781 doctors. The
number of employees in pharmaceutical sector was 293 persons, of
which there were 95 pharmacists and higher qualifications.
In 2023, the proportion of communes, wards and district towns
reaching the national health standard was at 99.20%; the number of
doctors per 10,000 inhabitants was 11.9 persons; the number of patient
beds per 10,000 inhabitants was 34.4 beds; the percentage of fully
vaccinated children under 1 year of age was 78.20%.
2. Living standards and social order and safety
In 2023, the monthly income per capita in the province reached
3,582.5 thousand VND. The percentage of multi-dimensional poverty
households dropped from 9.14% in late 2022 to 7.71% in late 2023.
In 2023, there were 209 traffic accidents occurred in the province,
causing 88 deaths and 171 injuries. Compared to the figures of 2022, the
number of traffic accidents in 2023 decreased by 10.3%; the number of
deaths reduced by 14.6%; the number of injured people went down
7.1%. In 2023, there were 106 fire and explosion incidents across the
province, made 1 injured person, with an estimated value of loss at
3,002.6 million VND.
