OPERATION OF ENTERPRISE, COOPERATIVE AND

NON-FARM INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS

In 2023, the world and domestic economic situation faced many

difficulties and challenges which caused enterprises in the province to
encountered many difficulties in product consumption, especially
enterprises for export production; increased prices of raw materials,
fuels, and materials; high banking interest rates, difficulty in accessing

capital sources by enterprises... were challenges for enterprise
operations. From the beginning of the year to December 15, 2023, the
number of newly established and back-to operation enterprises was 607

enterprises, down 3.50% over the same period last year, the number of
enterprises temporarily suspending operations and dissolving was 392
enterprises, up 26.45%.

As of December 31, 2022, the number of acting enterprises was

2,780 enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 3.89%; with the majority
of the non-state enterprises at 2,755 enterprises, up 3.92%. In terms of
enterprise size, almost all enterprises in Quang Tri employed less than

50 employees, accounting for 96.65% of the total number of enterprises.

As of 31 December, 2022, the number of employees working in the
whole enterprise sector was 29,758 people, a year-on-year increase of

1.02%.
In 2022, the total net revenue from the production and business

results of the acting enterprises reached 52.8 trillion VND, a year-on-
year increase of 20.07%; of which, the state-owned enterprises gained
4.41 trillion VND, an increase of 22.10%; the non-state enterprises

reached 45.3 trillion VND, up 21.11%; the FDI enterprises achieved 3.1
trillion VND, a rise of 4.46%.
