INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS

The number of enterprises actually operating as of December 31,
2020 was 2,392 enterprises, an increase of 2.88% compared to that in
2019; of which, there were 2,367 non-state enterprises, up 2.91%. In terms
of size, most of the enterprises in Quang Tri province had less than 50
employees (accounting for 99.29%); 1,406 enterprises possessed less than
5 employees, accounting for 58.78% of the total number of enterprises,
mainly non-state enterprises.

The number of employees working in the enterprise sector as of

December 31, 2020 was 26,289 persons, a decrease of 10.09% compared
to that in 2019. Of which, the number of employees working in the state-
owned and the non-state sectors decreased 19.51% and 10.51%
respectively; employees working in the foreign direct investment (FDI)
enterprises were 2,846 persons, an upturn of 4.1%.

In 2020, the net production and business turnover of the enterprise
sector reached 35.65 trillion VND, down 5.13% compared to that in 2019;
of which the non-state enterprises gained 30.77 trillion VND, reduced

1.7%; the FDI enterprises reached 2.2 trillion VND, up 3.53%; the state-
owned enterprises achieved 2.65 trillion VND, a downturn of 35.68%.
The number of non-farm individual business establishments in 2021

was 48,626, an increase of 1.75% compared to that in 2020. Most of
establishments were in the wholesale and retail trade with 21,668
establishments, accounting for 44.56% and going up by 1.11% compared
to that in 2020.

The employees concentrated in the following activities: the
wholesale and retail trade had 27,015 persons, accounting for 36.91%; the
accommodation and food services had 13,660 persons, accounting for
18.66%; the manufacturing possessed 12,068 persons, accounting for

16.49%.
